A peaceful public garden located on St. Christopher's Bastion on the eastern promontory of Valletta. In the central part of the avenues stands a neoclassical temple in the Doric style, dedicated to the British admiral Sir Alexander Ball. From the terraces, there is a view of the entrance to the Grand Harbour, the breakwater with a lighthouse, and Fort Ricasoli. Adjacent to the garden is the commemorative Siege Bell Memorial, commemorating the victims of the Siege of Malta from 1940-1943. Palms, oleanders, and fig trees grow around the benches.
