Its facade, unlike the Koninklijk Paleis, is adorned with six sculpted heads of Roman gods.

"House with the Heads" is a 17th-century merchant's residence in the Dutch Renaissance style, built in 1622. It is characterized by a facade adorned with six carved heads, depicting Roman gods. This building is an excellent example of the wealth and status of Amsterdam merchants during the Golden Age. Currently, it houses the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica, known as The Ritman Library, with rich collections.
