Unlike the Panteão Nacional, it contains the royal mausoleum of the Braganza dynasty and unique azulejos depicting La Fontaine's fables.

The Igreja de São Vicente de Fora is one of Lisbon's most important monuments. Construction began in 1582 under the patronage of Philip II and was completed in the early 17th century. The building features a Renaissance facade and a Baroque interior. The monastery houses the royal Pantheon of the House of Braganza and impressive azulejos depicting La Fontaine's fables. It is also worth visiting the rooftop terrace, which offers views of the city.
