St. Tryphon Cathedral
Kotor, Montenegro
A Romanesque basilica from 1166 with two towers and a treasury full of silver reliquaries; it is the only Catholic church in the centre where you will see the preserved Gothic ciborium.
The main Catholic church of Kotor, standing on a square in the middle of the Old Town. Entry is for a small ticket, and inside you will see the naves and a reliquary from the treasury; the whole visit usually takes about half an hour. It is crowded around when cruise ships are in the port, so it is better to come in the morning or in the evening.
