In contrast to traditional museums, this site allows direct experience of the history of the Holocaust, preserving the original railway cars under the station.
Memorial space created beneath Milano Centrale railway station around underground postal track Binario 21, whence deportations of Jewish victims to extermination camps took place between 1943 and 1945. The museum displays authentic freight deportation wagons and a wall inscribed with the word Indifferenza.
