Neue Synagoge
Berlin, Germany

Its golden dome and the fact that it was the largest synagogue in Germany distinguish it from other sacred buildings.
The New Synagogue is a historic synagogue in Berlin, distinguished by its golden dome. Built between 1859 and 1866 in Moorish style, it was the largest synagogue in Germany. During Kristallnacht in 1938, it was damaged but not burned thanks to the intervention of a local police officer. Severely damaged during bombings in 1943, it was rebuilt in the 1990s as a center for Jewish culture. You can admire its extraordinary architecture and exhibitions.
