A Renaissance residence built between 1571-1574 for the leaders of the Order of Malta, designed by Girolamo Cassar. The building occupies an entire city block on St George's Square and underwent a thorough renovation completed in 2024. Inside, the state rooms with frescoes by Matteo Perez d'Aleccio depicting the Great Siege of Malta and valuable Gobelins tapestries are impressive. The former palace stables house an armory with a collection of over 5,000 original armors, rapiers, and cannons from the 16th-18th centuries.
