This monumental statue of Christ, modeled after the one in Rio, stands in Almada across the Tagus with an extensive panorama of Lisbon.

Inspired by Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, this monumental statue stands on the other side of the Tagus, in Almada. From the base of the monument, one of the most beautiful panoramas of Lisbon, the bridge, and the river mouth unfolds. To get there, you usually need to take a ferry and then a bus.
