Şehzade Mosque
Istanbul, Türkiye

Designed by Mimar Sinan, it is the first work the architect considered complete during his apprenticeship.
Şehzadebaşı Camii is an imperial Ottoman mosque built between 1543 and 1548 at the command of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent, dedicated to his prematurely deceased son, Prince Mehmed. It was designed by Mimar Sinan, who considered it his work from his "apprenticeship" period. It features classic Ottoman architecture with a central dome surrounded by four smaller semi-domes. It is an early example of Sinan's genius.
