It currently serves conference and banquet functions, which distinguishes it from churches still primarily used for worship, such as the Waalse Kerk.

Sint Olofskapel, or St. Olaf's Chapel, is one of the oldest chapels in Amsterdam, with a history dating back to the early 15th century. It originally served as a chapel for merchants and sailors. The chapel is an example of Gothic architecture and has witnessed important historical events over the centuries. Currently, it serves as a conference and banquet venue, while retaining its sacred character. It was restored in 2004.
