Old New Synagogue
Prague, Czechia

It was completed around 1270, making it the oldest preserved synagogue in all of Europe.
Within the stone walls of the Old New Synagogue, one feels the breath of centuries, and legends of the Golem still seem alive in its Gothic interior. It is the oldest active synagogue in Europe, whose austerity and simplicity create an atmosphere of deep respect and historical solemnity. Light filters sparsely through narrow windows, highlighting ancient benches and stone walls. It is an authentic portal to the past, where one can touch the history of Prague's Jews.
