It is the only synagogue in Warsaw that survived World War II and is still functioning, unlike most of the surrounding churches.

The only Warsaw synagogue that survived World War II and is still active. Built between 1898 and 1902 in the Neo-Romanesque style. During the war, it was devastated but not destroyed, and after the war, it was rebuilt. It serves as a center for the religious and cultural life of the Warsaw Jewish Community. The interior is adorned with polychromes and a characteristic Aron ha-kodesh.
