It owes its name to the characteristic lead dome, was built in 1555, and is currently unused.

The Lead Mosque, named after its lead dome, was built in 1555 by Ahmed Kurt Pasha. It is one of the most important and characteristic mosques in Berat. The building is an excellent example of classical Ottoman architecture. It features a monumental dome and a tall minaret. Currently, the mosque is unused but remains an important cultural monument.
