Unlike many fortification objects, the tower is not open to visitors.

Baszta Słomiana is a medieval defensive tower in Gdańsk, part of the city's 14th-century fortifications. Built of brick, it features typical Gothic architecture. Its name probably comes from its former straw roof covering. Baszta Słomiana, although not open to visitors, is an important element of the historical landscape and a testament to Gdańsk's former defensive power. It is an interesting object to see during walks, allowing one to feel the old atmosphere of the city.
