Its Gothic, brick style and location at the end of Chlebnicka Street distinguish it from the representative Green Gate.

Brama Chlebnicka in Gdańsk is one of the Main City's water gates, built in the 14th century in Gothic style. It is a brick gate that guarded access to the city from the Motława River, serving defensive functions. It is located at the end of Chlebnicka Street, in a quieter part of the Old Town. Brama Chlebnicka, though less known than the Crane, is an important element of medieval fortifications and testifies to Gdańsk's rich defensive history. It is an ideal place for a short stop during a walk.
