The Monastery of Santa Chiara in Naples is a 14th-century Gothic complex, founded in 1310 by Robert of Anjou and Sancha of Majorca. Its main attraction is the majolica cloisters, decorated in the 18th century by Domenico Antonio Vaccaro. The tiles depict scenes of rural life and floral motifs. The complex also includes a church, a museum, and archaeological excavations. The building is an important example of Gothic and Baroque architecture in the region. A visit allows one to learn about the history and art of Naples.
