Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar
Porto, Portugal

It features a unique circular architecture for its church and cloisters, a characteristic absent in structures like the Sé do Porto.
Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar is an impressive monastery in Vila Nova de Gaia, just across the Douro River from Porto, built in the 16th century. Its unique circular architecture of the church and cloisters is an example of Renaissance Mannerism. The monastery offers some of the best panoramic views of Porto, the Douro River, and the Ponte Luís I bridge. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is worth climbing to its viewpoint and admiring the architecture.
