Mural of San Gennaro (Jorit)

Naples, Italy

The Mural of San Gennaro, created by artist Jorit Agoch in 2015, is a photorealistic portrait of the patron saint of Naples. The 15-meter-high work adorns the wall of a tenement house in the Forcella district, near the Duomo. It depicts the saint with tribal stripes on his face, which is a hallmark of Jorit's work. The mural is part of an artistic project aimed at revitalizing neglected areas of the city. Its creation was an initiative of the local community, supported by the city authorities. The image has become an important landmark and a symbol of identity for the residents of Forcella.
