This is the former seat of the Brotherhood of Blackheads, distinguished by its Renaissance facade from 1597, unique in Tallinn.

Mustpeade maja is a historic building that originally served as the seat of the Brotherhood of Blackheads, a fraternity of unmarried merchants founded in the 14th century. The building's facade, renovated in 1597, is one of the best examples of Renaissance architecture in Tallinn. Its interiors feature richly decorated halls, which are now used for concerts, banquets, and other cultural events. The Dutch Doors from 1640 are particularly impressive.
