Temple of Vesta
Rome, Italy

Its circular shape, modeled after Greek temples, distinguishes it from typical rectangular or oval Roman structures.
The Tempio di Ercole Vincitore, also known as Tempio di Ercole Olivario, is an ancient Roman temple dating back to the 2nd century BCE. It is the oldest preserved marble building in Rome, modeled after Greek circular temples. It features a peripteral portico with twenty Corinthian columns, nineteen of which survive to this day. It is located in the Forum Boarium, near the Tiber. Despite the passage of centuries, the structure has retained its impressive shape, testifying to the engineering of ancient Rome.
