The Bridge of Sighs is a Baroque structure made of white stone, completed in 1600 according to the design of Antonio Contino. It connects the Doge's Palace with the New Prison, spanning the Rio di Palazzo canal. The bridge is 11 meters long and covered, which ensured discretion. The name of the object comes from the sighs of convicts who, through small windows, cast their last glance at the lagoon. It is one of the most recognizable symbols of Venice, offering a unique perspective on the city's history. A visit to the bridge lasts about 20 minutes and is part of the Doge's Palace tour.
