The Brazen Head
Dublin, Ireland

Ireland's oldest inn with a tradition dating back to 1198, located on Bridge Street near the south bank of the River Liffey. The low-ceilinged rooms with wooden beams and peat-fired fireplaces retain the atmosphere of old Dublin. In the past, rebel leaders Robert Emmet and Wolfe Tone, as well as writers James Joyce and Brendan Behan, were guests in its halls. The menu serves braised lamb stew, roast beef, and fresh mussels from the bay, and traditional music resonates in the evenings.
