Old Jameson Distillery
Dublin, Ireland

A historic distillery on Bow Street in the Smithfield district, where John Jameson began producing whiskey in 1780. Although the distillation process was moved to County Cork in 1975, the historic buildings have been restored as a tasting center. Guides lead visitors through the former malt kilns, fermentation vats, and barrel warehouses, explaining the advantages of triple distillation. The tour concludes with a comparative tasting of Irish distillate with Scotch whisky.
